Biscuits and Gravy Well Sort of!
This one was on my mind for sometime. I had to build up the nerve to actually try it. It's not hard, really easy if you think about it. Non fat dry milk! that's the key. so with a little playing around to get all the measurements right and i got it. To be honest i was a tad reluctant to try it, I love Milk!! DRY MILK? It worked out fine. EM is taste testing this as i type. We both agree for camp food this is pretty good. What about the meat? i love sausage, no secret on that front. This recipe however is using Dried Beef. *Important note* Dried beef is very salty, which is bad. Really bad if you outside camping. Why? glad you asked, the more sodium your bad has the water it will need to remove it from your body, this results in dehydration if your not careful. Not a problem, Here is a secret. take the beef and soak it in fresh clean water for 30 min. the sodium is dissolved into the water and the salt taste is gone!
1 4.5 oz Dried Beef
1/3 cup non fat dried milk
2 Tablespoons "Wondra"
1 cup cold water
Add all ingredients to a pan head to thicken, salt and pepper to taste pour over bread. Yummy!

About this blog
Welcome to the Menu blog. Here is where we talk about the menu for the Grand Canyon trip. That's right I'm cooking. Big surprise i know. But this blog is a little harder to find then the others. I would like to keep this a secret from Larry and Jerry, they don't need to know till it's right in front of them.
We will have no way to keep food cold, so it has to be non-perishable. We will not have any open flames, so it has to be small and easy to make. we also have weight to consider, so it has to be light. GOOD LUCK!!!
